Featured Authors for 2006:

Paul B. Farrell has published nine books, including “The Millionaire Code”, “The Lazy Person’s Guide to Investing”, ”The Winning Portfolio”, which was a Money Book-of-the-Month Club bestseller, and his latest book, “The Millionaire Meditation”. Catherine Ryan Hyde is a critically acclaimed novelist and award-winning short story writer. Her best-known novels include "Electric God", "Walter's Purple Heart", and the national bestseller "Pay It Forward" which was adapted into a major Warner Brothers feature film. Robert Scheer has interviewed every president since Richard Nixon, and his profiles of them have shaped journalism history. He analyzes each administration in his most recent book, "Playing President". Scheer covered presidential politics for the Los Angeles Times for thirty years and is the author of six books. Valerie Hobbs is the author of Many Award winning middle and young adult novels. Her most recent novel, Defiance, was chosen "The Best Children's Book of the Year" by the Literature Council of Southern California and has appeared on several "Best Children's Book of the Year" lists.

As a photo journalist, Sherry Shahan has ventured on horseback into Africa's Maasailand, hiked through a leech-infested rain forest in Australia, and ridden in a dogsled for the first part of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska - and those are just the A's.

Candlewick Press presents three authors of middle-grade level novels. Featured books include:

"The Jade Dragon," an insightful book by Carolyn Mardsen and Virginia Loh, is about a Chinese-American girl who longs for friendship with a classmate adopted from China.
Mark London Williams is the author of the action-packed "Danger Boy" series of novels about Eli, a time traveling young adventurer.
Cecil Castellucci’s novel, "The Queen of Cool" is a funny, incisive look at a teenage girl whose reign of popularity comes at the price of ennui - until she dares to take off her tiara and do something truly cool with her life.
